Getting started
Using our new Blinx PACO online service is simple and doesn’t require any passwords or accounts. Follow these easy steps to access our services online.
Step 1: Access Blinx
Blinx PACO is accessed by using the ‘Digital Front Door’ which can be accessed from 28 January by clicking the banner shown below on our homepage. You can also access it by following the link available on our Appointments page.
Step 2: Choose your service
Once you’ve entered your details, you’ll see the Digital Front Door with clear options for different services:
- I have an admin query
- I want to book a GP appointment
- I have a prescription request
- Patient support (Signposting / Self-referral)
Step 3: Enter your details
You’ll see a simple form asking for your date of birth and NHS number. These details must match exactly what we have on your medical record. You will be sent a two-factor authentication code to your mobile or email address which you will need to enter Blinx.
Step 4: Complete your request
You’ll be guided through a simple form designed specifically for your type of request.
For medical requests, tell us about your symptoms or concerns, answer some simple questions about your health, and provide any relevant background information.
For administrative requests, select what you need and answer any necessary details.
Step 5: Submit your request
After completing your form, review the information and then click the ‘Submit’ button. You’ll receive an on-screen confirmation.

- Don’t use medical forms for administrative requests or vice versa.
- Don’t submit the same request multiple times.
- Don’t leave required fields blank.
What happens after I’ve submitted my request?
Your request will be reviewed by our triage team and you will be contacted with an outcome within 48 working hours.
