What is the NHS App?
The NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services and information on your smartphone or tablet. Millions of people are already using the NHS App to manage their health the easy way from the comfort of their homes.
What can I do on the NHS App?
You can use the NHS App to:
- order your repeat medication and change your nominated pharmacy
- book appointments at the surgery (such as blood tests)
- view and manage your hospital referrals
- view your medical record
- view your NHS number
- use the NHS 111 service online
- receive messages from the surgery
New features will be added to the NHS App throughout the year.
Is the NHS App secure?
Yes. To access the NHS App, you will need to set up an NHS login and prove who you are. Your NHS App then securely connects to your GP surgery.
If your device supports fingerprint detection or facial recognition, you can use it to log in to your NHS App each time, instead of using a password and security code.
